ELKINS — A body was found alongside the vehicle belonging to a Tucker County man who has been missing in Randolph County for over a week, officials report. The Randolph County Sheriff's Office issued a statement regarding the "significant discovery" of a body, along with the vehicle of James Hedrick, 82, who has been missing since June 8. Morning storm knocks out power for thousands of local homes

ELKINS – This morning's severe rain and wind storm has knocked out electricity for thousands of homes in multiple local counties. In Randolph County, 1,735 residences were without power as of 9:25 a.m., according to First Energy. A total of 295 homes without electricity were reported in Mill Creek, with 276 reported in Beverly, 268 in Coalton, 255 in Mabie, 164 in Elkins, 140 in Whitmer, 104 in Harman and 73 in Valley Bend.
