Daniel John ‘Danny’ Herron

He was born April 3, 1971, at Akron, Ohio, a son of the late Robert Lee Herron Sr. and Glenna Biller Herron.

He is survived by one son, Gerald Seth Herron and companion, Skye Bunnell, of Belington; three sisters, Tracee Kyle and husband, Sonny, of Chesterfield, Virginia, Michelle Alth and companion, Tom Yocum, of Belington, and Crystal Herron of Elkins; former wife, Dawn Herron of Philippi, brother-in-law, Chuck Alth of Belington; and grandchildren, Brooks Herron and Barrett Herron.

Additional survivors include several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews a whole host of friends and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Lee Herron Jr.; a sister, Tina Boyett; a stepmother, Linda Dorleen Herron; brother-in-law, Luke Brantner; cousin, Wilbur Thorne; father and mother-in-law; and a nephew, Larry Knight.

Danny attended the Schools of Barbour County and was formerly employed by NAPA Auto Parts as a sales clerk before becoming disabled. He was an avid football enthusiast and was a huge Pittsburgh Steeler and WVU Mountaineer fan. He enjoyed music, relaxing by a fire and model building. He especially loved his grandchildren; they were the light of his life. He was a Protestant by faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home, 56 N. Brandenburg Street in Belington, on Monday Feb. 6, 2023, from 6-9 p.m. At Danny’s request cremation will be honored.
