Ethel JoAnn Isenhart Barkley

Ethel was born on Thursday, May 12, 1948, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Mike Isenhart and Georgia Alice Ross Isenhart.

She was twice married. First, she was married to Jerry Ramsey and then, she was married to Robert Barkley, both of which preceded her in death.

Left to cherish Ethel’s memory is one daughter, Cynthia Maize of Norton, with whom she had made her home; two sons, Jerry Ramsey and wife, Charlinda, and Mike Ramsey and wife, Cristine, all of Belington; three brothers, Dave Isenhart and wife, Connie, of Virginia, Gary Isenhart and Tony Isenhart and wife, Barb, all of Belington; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Ware and husband, Daniel, Brandon Riffle and fiance, Destiny, Alicia Summerfield and husband, Steven, Michael Ramsey, Levi Ramsey and wife, Brooklyn, Kristin Ramsey and companion, Nick, Allyssa Maize; and Tehya Smith-Maize; eleven great- grandchildren, Skilar, Breanna, Blacin, Kruize, Gabe, Caroline, Karra, Tucker, Ella, Nora and Grant; a special friend, Jean Ramsey and husband, Denny; a special niece, Debbie Wamsley and husband, Roger; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Ethel in death besides her parents and husbands were five brothers, Richard, Johnny, Donald, Henry and Emery; and one sister, Ruby Kennard.

Ethel attended the schools of Randolph County and had obtained her GED. She had worked for Nella’s Nursing Home, Shop-N-Save, Little Caesars and Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. She enjoyed working puzzle books and watching TV. She loved her family and will be missed by them.

Ethel’s request for cremation was honored.
