Alice L. ‘Susie’ Taylor
Alice L. “Susie” Taylor, 74, a resident of Elkins, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, in the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born April 30, 1949, in Elkins a daughter of the late Warren Edward White and the late Rosalie Crawford White.
On Aug. 16, 1969, at the First Baptist Church in Elkins, she was married to Charles Glenn Taylor, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving is her goddaughter, Stacie Friddle and son, Jackson; brothers, Tom White and Jeanie, Dick White and Cherrie, Allen White and Carsie; and brother-in-law, Delmer Taylor and Patty; sisters, Cheryl Orbia and Alex, Joyce Ann Marcella and Mike; sisters-in-law, Paula White, Evelyn Wilson and Clyde, Carolyn Sturdivant and Don and Connie Skidmore and Jim; and several nieces and nephews.
Also preceding her in death were her mother and father-in-law, Charles and Leah Taylor; brothers, Jim and Marshall White; and brothers-in-law, Lonnie and John Taylor.
Susie was a graduate of Elkins High School and was employed as a cashier at Davis & Elkins College for many years. She was a member of the first Baptist Church in Elkins and enjoyed needle point, crafts, painting stained glass and baking.
Funeral services for Susie will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Donor Services, PO Box 98018, Washington, D.C., 20090-8018 in memory of Susie.
