ELKINS — Rylan Wymer tossed a five-inning two-hitter as the Elkins Post 29 Junior American Legion team defeated Charleston Post 65 Junior, 13-0, for its win of the season Friday night in the first game of a scheduled doubleheader at Robin Harvey Memorial Field.
Wymer struck out seven and walked three.
The right-hander received all the run support he would need in the first inning as Post 29 plated six runs.
Elkins tacked on two runs in each of the second and fourth inning and three in the second.
Kenton Rowan drew a bases-loaded walk and Drew Hinzman delivered a two-run single in the opening frame.

Jacob Wamsley plated two runs in the third on a single.
Rowan finished with two RBIs in the win, while Brock Holland and Hinzman collected two hits apiece.
Jake Jordan and Dylan Fink accounted for Charleston’s two hits on the night.
Jonah Carte took the loss for Post 65. Trisdon Ciampanella and Grant Barclay also saw time on the hill.
Post 29 improved to 1-4 on the season. Charleston dropped to 4-16.
The teams played the second game of the twin bill later on Friday evening.
