ELKINS — A big second half propelled Fairmont Senior to a 51-44 Big 10 Conference win over Elkins Friday night at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymasium.

The Tigers (4-13) took a 26-17 lead into the intermission but were outscored 18-9 in the third quarter and 16-9 in the fourth.

Darrell Claybrook scored 13 of his game-high 22 points in the second half to lead the Polar Bears. Cam Ferguson chipped in 11.

Landon Shreve led Elkins with 21 points, followed by Isaiah Nutter with 10.

The Tigers return to action at 7:30 p.m. Monday at home against Preston for another league game.
