B-U’s Marple named to Class AAAA all-state first team

SOUTH CHARLESTON — Buckhannon-Upshur’s Kynnedy Marple has been tabbed to the Class AAAA all-state first team as the utility player. Marple, who was also the Big 10 Conference Player of the Year, batted .510 with a 1.478 OPS. The junior hit 22 XBH (12 doubles), scored 42 runs and drove in 41 more. Marple was also the Lady Bucs’ top arm with a 15-5 record, 2.10 ERA, and 131 Ks. MORGANTOWN — The North Carolina outfielder caught the ball and put an end to the 2026 West Virginia baseball season. It wrapped up a historic and exciting season. It was a season that had it all.
