PITTSBURGH (AP) — The Pittsburgh Steelers have left the door wide open for Aaron Rodgers to return. Still, the club gave itself a little bit of protection in case he does not. Pittsburgh placed the unrestricted free-agent tender on the four-time MVP on Monday, meaning the Steelers would be entitled to a compensatory draft pick if Rodgers doesn’t sign with them and instead lands elsewhere during the 2026 season. Head coach Steve Sabins and some of the coaching staff made the trip up to PNC Park to watch the former Mountaineer. There were former players selected, like Akheem Mesidor, who was picked in the first round by the Los Angeles Chargers. TENNERTON — Buckhannon-Upshur improved to 20-6 with an 11-0 win over Preston Monday in Big 10 action. Kynnedy Marple pitched a five-inning, two-hit gem for the Lady Bucs, striking out nine and not issuing a walk. Maddie Tucker, Becca Pastorius and Leah Bryant had two RBIs each for B-U.
