ELKINS — The Elkins-Randolph County Chamber is pleased to announce its Spotlight Business of the Month for October 2021, Salon Swish.

In 2017, Bridget Swisher purchased the salon where she had worked for 22 years from Mary Jo Mayo. She renamed the business, “Salon Swish.” The salon, located in Seneca Mall, moved to its current location, still in Seneca Mall but with access on Davis Avenue, too, in 2018.

In addition to owner/operator Bridget Swisher, the salon employees four additional staff: Missy Poyner, Tiffany Witek, Alyssa Howell and Jessica Kisner. Combined, these five ladies have more than 90 years of experience. Swisher calls her staff “wonderful.”

The mission at Salon Swish is to make every client feel comfortable and like family. The staff prides itself on giving their customers the results they want without jeopardizing the integrity of their hair or nails, officials said.

Salon Swish offers a wide range of services including haircuts, color, highlights, balayage, perms and waxing. The salon has a full-time nail technician offering manicures, pedicures, and more.

Salon Swish gives back to the community by supporting multiple community organizations. Staff members also volunteer for the American Cancer Society’s “Look Good, Feel Better” program. Salon Swish always participates in the community events/decorating that happen downtown.
