ELKINS — Wheeler’s Guns and Ammo, a longtime local business, has been acquired by another company and will continue to offer products for local residents.

Rich Mountain Trading and Pawn has announced its recent acquisition of Wheeler’s Gun and Ammo. RMTP will showcase the new inventory now available at the store and honor Wheeler’s Guns and Ammo’s owners, Brian and Jim Wheeler, as they step into retirement.

Rich Mountain Trading and Pawn is located in the Midway Loop on the Beverly Five-Lane.

For decades, the name Wheeler has been synonymous with guns, ammo and other sporting goods in the Elkins area.

In 2020 the business moved from its long-time location on Route 33/Allegheny Highway after 25 years and Brian Wheeler took over the family business from his father. Jim.
