Nathaniel Wayne Lattea

Nathaniel Wayne Lattea, 31, of Elkins, West Virginia, gained his angel wings on May 28, 2023.

He was born on Sept. 21, 1991, in Weston, West Virginia, loving son of Brenda Lattea and Mike Ware and Dana Lee Lattea and Wahneta, who all survive.

Also surviving are his sister, Danilia Lattea; half-sister, Mahindra Lattea; fiancee, Tina Williams; ex-wife, Kathrine Rosa; maternal grandparents, Gary and Charlotte Riffle; paternal grandfather, Dana Ralph Lattea; several aunts and uncles, Mia Gillum-Call and Rob, Tracey Riffle and Glenda, Brian Riffle and Allison, Cathie Metz and Kevin, Terry Lattea and Gigi, Pamela Lattea, Melanie Riffle; additional family by choice, Tanka Godfrey and Josh, Janet Godfrey and Robert and their son, Ryan Godfrey; several cousins, his best friend and brotherm Wesley White; and his two loving pets, Demon and Oreo.

Nathaniel was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Catherine Lattea; and uncle, Barry Lattea.

Nathaniel received his GED while living in Paden City, West Virginia, and was a member of the I.O.O.F. Independent Order of Odd Fellows 116, Rebekah Lodge 62 and a member of the Randolph County Special Olympics.

Nathaniel loved spending time with family and friends. He loved going to the races and doing Special Olympics. Nathaniel enjoyed Sunday dinners, parties and holidays with family. He also enjoyed jeepin’, karaoke, four-wheeler riding, hunting, fishing and good food.

Friends will be received Sunday, June 4, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pastor David Jessie and Rev. William Kerns officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Kanawha Head, West Virginia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
