Bulldogs too much for Warriors

MILL CREEK — Second-seed Tygarts Valley cruised to a 79-44 win over No. 3 Pocahontas County in Class A, Region II, Section 2 semifinal action Wednesday night at Weber-Wamsley Court.
The Bulldogs (11-12) will now travel to top-seed Pendleton County at 7 p.m. Friday for the sectional title.
Ethan McGee had 15 points and Malachi Somers 10 for Tygarts Valley, which built a comfortable 52-21 halftime lead.
Ian Harris, Ezra Scott and Logan Phillips all finished with nine each.
“It was good to see our offensive flow return,” Bulldogs coach Tom Wamsley said. “Now it’s up to us to keep it going.”
Dillon Dunz had 14 points and Matt McQuain 10 for the Warriors.
Pendleton County, which swept the season series against TV, advanced with a victory over fourth-seed Harman in Wednesday’s other semifinal.
