EHS soccer teams defeat Lincoln
SHINNSTON — The Elkins girls and boys soccer teams defeated Lincoln Thursday night in Big 10 Conference play.
The Lady Tigers (4-0-0) earned a 3-1 win as Audrina Shelton turned in a hat trick.
“The game had the feel of a playoff game,” EHS coach Scott Cutright said. “Lincoln was good to start the game but Erin Collins made some crucial saves to keep us in it.”
The Tigers took a 3-1 win as well, getting goals from Hayden Ferguson, Kaden George and Tucker Cutright to improve to 4-0-1.
“This was good conference win for the boys,” coach Cutright said. “We really played simple and had some very efficient shots against a good Lincoln keeper.”
Both EHS teams travel to Herbert Hoover today for key sectional matchups.
