ELKINS — Elkins High School will host a Class AAA, Region 1, Section 2 contest today at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymnasium.

Match time is set for 5:30 p.m.

Teams competing in the section, along with the Lady Tigers, include East Fairmont, Fairmont Senior and Grafton.

In Elkins’ last home game against Fairmont Senior, Maddy Zirkle had six aces and six kills, Jayda Owens two aces and five kills and Maura O’Neill 11 kills.

In the Class AA, Region II, Section 1 tourney, top-seed Philip Barbour hosts No. 2 Petersburg at 6 p.m. today in the sectional title game.

Both the sectional winner and the loser move to a co-regional finale this year.
