Lady Hornets’ Pyles sets school record in 3,200

BRIDGEPORT — The Elkins Middle School track teams opened the season this past Saturday in the Connect-Bridgeport Invitational. Clara Pyles won the 3,200 and set a new Elkins Middle School record with a time of 11:50.52. The other first-place finisher for the Lady Hornets, who tied East Fairmont and Ritchie County for second in the meet with 66 points, was Isabella Drain-White (discus, 73-11).
