MORGANTOWN — Philip Barbour’s Isaiah Starks captured the Division II title in the 100-yard freestyle Thursday at the state meet being held at Peak Health Aquatic Center at Mylan Park. The senior finished in a time 50.61. Starks was also runner-up in the 50 freestyle with an effort of 22.73. Teammate Hayden Dalton turned in a fifth-place finish in the 200 IM (2:34.22) and was sixth in the 100 butterfly in a time 1:08.58. ELKINS — A big second half propelled Fairmont Senior to a 51-44 Big 10 Conference win over Elkins Friday night at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymasium. The Tigers (4-13) took a 26-17 lead into the intermission but were outscored 18-9 in the third quarter and 16-9 in the fourth. MILL CREEK — Playing his first game at home since going over 1,000 points for his career earlier this week, Jacob Wamsley added to that total in a big way Friday night at Weber-Wamsley Court.
