Reader upset by Jan. 6 hearings

Considering the news of just the last couple weeks alone, if I were a registered Democrat voter I would go buy a loaf of bread and a couple cans of Treat meat or Spam, find a heavily overgrown ditch and crawl in there and stay until I could sneak into the court house and change parties before any Republican friends saw me. Celebration set for Rosie the Riveters

Dear pastors, choir directors, choir members, church members or members of the community at large, On Labor Day, Sept. 6 from noon until 1 p.m. there will be a celebration for Rosie the Riveters (Those women who were employed in the home front doing any type of defense work during World War II) at the Rotary Amphitheater in Elkins. Official: Tire recycling events much needed

My name is Clark Martin and I am chairman of the Randolph County Solid Waste Authority. I am writing to you concerning the tire recycling project which has been put on by REAP for many years now. REAP is apart of DEP. It was halted in 2020 due to the pandemic. There are a smattering of tire recyclings around the State. Sixteen out of 55 counties are, this year, performing tire recycling. In June when I heard the Randolph County Board meeting would address the new football field. I decided to attend the meeting. New to the procedure, I accept responsibility for failing to follow protocol. One must sign in to speak and, due to some vision problems, I was unable to see the instructions on the television mounted on the wall.
