Reader: ‘Do what the officer says’

I have a simple solution to most of the riots and social unrest going on in our country. My simple motto is “Do what the cop says.” There would be no shootings, strangulations or beatings by the police if people simply listened to directions. Of course you are still going to have a small percentage of bad cops, and we need a process to weed them out. More minorities need to join the force so that they can affect change from within, but most don’t want a job where they are reviled by the people they are trying to protect. I served my country 8 1/2 years in the U.S. Army, 12 1/2 months in Vietnam, and I was proud to do so. Until now. When we have a president who says those who served this great country of ours are useless and losers, I can no longer call him a president, or even a man.
