PARSONS — More than $96,000 has been awarded to a total of 47 nonprofit organizations by the Tucker Community Foundation through its annual Grant Program.

“Every year it is exciting to distribute the grants that come from people helping people in communities throughout the region,” Mike Moore, executive director for the Tucker Community Foundation, said. “We create opportunities for the everyday donor to give ‘bigger’ as a group than what they could achieve and fund on their own. This is what our community foundation is all about.”

The awards were made possible by resources from the Foundation’s designated and unrestricted endowment funds, agency funds and donor advised funds, a Tucker Community Foundation press release states. The grants supports arts and culture, education, emergency assistance, community and economic development, senior services, recreation and youth.
