Tigers place fourth, Colts third at North Marion quad
FAIRMONT — The Elkins High School golf team placed fourth at an 18-hole quad-match Tuesday at Green Hills Country Club .
The Tigers shot a team-score 440 and were led by Tanner Miller’s 89. Lucas D’Angelo shot a 109, Danica Riggins a 119 and Brooke Tallman a 123.
Host North Marion, behind Dylan Runner’s low-medal round of 72, carded a 333 to win the match.
Keyser was second with a 375 and was led by Drew Matlick’s 83.
Philip Barbour placed third. The Colts were paced by Mason Halfin (88), Brayden Cole (92) and Alfred Isch (98).
The Tigers will travel to Barbour County at 4 p.m. today to face Philip Barbour.
