Lady Tigers top Bridgeport
ELKINS — Celia Ricottilli fired in 22 points to lead Elkins to a 43-33 win over Bridgeport Friday night in Big 10 play at Richard P. Simmons Memorial Gymnasium.
The Lady Tigers (9-7) led 10-5 after the first quarter and 19-16 at halftime. They upped their lead to 35-25 after three quarters.
Jaylin Dodd led the Lady Indians with 11 points.
Maddie Belan chipped in nine and Gracelin Corley eight for Elkins, which hosts Tucker County on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers also took the junior varsity game, 41-38, as Layla Fletcher scored 10 and Jaylin Tacy eight.
Gilmer County 51, Tucker County 49
HAMBLETON — Allie Ellyson had 22 points as Class A, No. 9 Gilmer County held off co-No. 1 Tucker County, 51-49, on Friday night.
Kadie Colebank had 22 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots to lead the Lady Mountain Lions, who trailed 27-20 at halftime and 36-32 after three quarters.
Macy Helmick added six assists and three steals.and Brylee Whetzel nine points and three assists.
Tucker County (11-2) visits Elkins on Tuesday.
South Harrison 56, TV 46
LOST CREEK — Halle Bland had 16 points to lead South Harrison over Tygarts Valley, 56-46, on Saturday.
Hope Woods added 14 and Adalee Wright 10 for the Lady Hawks.
Kailem Yokum netted 14 and Summer Lewis-Smith 13 for the Lady Bulldogs (2-12), who visit Union on Tuesday.
