MOOREFIELD — Elkins split a pair of game against Moorefield on Saturday. The Tigers recorded a 10-6 win and dropped a 4-3 verdict. Blayne Thompson and Braden Cooper had two RBIs each in the win for the Tigers, while Brady Biller went 3 for 4. Owen Stanley earned the win, allowing four runs on five hits in three innings of work. LAS VEGAS (AP) — Honor Huff made eight 3-pointers and scored a career-high 38 to propel West Virginia to an 89-82 overtime victory over Oklahoma on Sunday in the championship game of the College Basketball Crown Tournament. Sieg was a National Signing Day steal from rival Pitt, Penn State and other local schools, and was a top 5 high school prospect in Pennsylvania as a consensus 4-star. Mountaineers earn commitment from 2027 running back

MORGANTOWN — West Virginia football picked up its second commitment for the 2027 class in less than 24 hours. 2027 running back Lee Prince Jr. announced he’s committed to the Mountaineers on social media, becoming the fourth commitment of the class. WVU received a commitment Thursday afternoon from linebacker Mason Cerovac. Prince had multiple Power Four offers, including from Pitt, Oregon, Florida State, UCF and other Division I programs.
