TENNERTON – Buckhannon-Upshur placed four players in double figures to roll past Philip Barbour, 80-53, Thursday night in Big 10 Conference play.

Senior Dawson Lilly led the Bucs (7-6, 7-3 Big 10) with 24 points.

Brayden Cutlip added a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, freshman Mason Hyre added 14 points and Ryan Hurst finished with 12.

Ryan Strader also collected 10 boards.

Kiyan Bartlett was the lone player in double figures for the Colts with 10 points. Levi MacAdam added eight,

Will Knight had a team-high five rebounds and Matlick and Gage Bibey dished out three assists each.

B-U led 25-19 at the end of one quarter and by nine, at 43-34, at the intermission break.

The Bucs took control in the third frame, outscoring PB, 19-8, to open up a 20-point cushion.

B-U will remain home at 3:45 p.m. Saturday to face Riverside.

The Colts (6-6, 4-5) are scheduled to visit Logan at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Harman 55, Union 21

HARMAN — Jamen Dudley tossed in 17 points and collected seven rebounds as Harman claimed a 55-21 win over Union on Thursday night.

Alison Warner pitched in 16 points, four boards and four assists for the Lady Panthers, while Sheridan Bonner turned in her 12th double-double of the season with 13 points and 16 rebounds to go along with three assists and four blocked shots.

Natalie Teter also had five points, 11 rebounds and three helpers for Harman and Alexis Nelson four points and six caroms.

Bridgette Knapp led the Lady Tigers with 12 points.

“We’ve been rebounding the ball very well,” Lady Panthers coach Todd Raines said. “We had a combined 50 rebounds tonight and three girls in double digits in scoring.

“We moved the ball well and our defense is coming together nicely.”

Harman will play host to Clay-Battelle at 2 p.m. Saturday in the third round of the WVHIT.

Tygarts Valley 46, Pendleton 38

FRANKLIN — Tygarts Valley improved to 10-3 on the season as Abby Harris fired in 30 points in a 46-38 win over Pendleton County on Wednesday evening.

Courtney Haddix added 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals for the Lady Bulldogs. Harris also had six rebounds and seven steals on the night and Cailtyn Swecker tallied five rebounds and three steals.

Katelyn Scott had 13 points and Claire Heavner 12 for the Lady Wildcats (7-8).

Tygarts Valley will travel to Cameron today in WVHIT action.

Pendleton County will visit Moorefield this evening.

In the JV game, the Lady Bulldogs recorded a 34-30 win as Claire Smith scored 10 points.
