ELKINS PURPLE MAJESTIES: The Elkins Purple Majesties (Red Hats) will meet today at 11:30 a.m. at El Toro Steakhouse, 2064 Beverly Pike, Elkins. All members and guests are welcome. ALLEGHENY REGIONAL FAMILY HISTORY SOCIETY: will hold regular meeting on Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. in the library at the IOOF Building located along the Beverly Five-lane. Those interested in genealogy are encouraged to attend and become a member of ARFHS. ELKINS-RANDOLPH COUNTY. REGIONAL AIRPORT AUTHORITY: will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, May 12, at 5 p.m. at the airport terminal building

MEATBALL HOAGIE FUNDRAISER: will be Friday, May 15 from 11 a.m. to 1 pm. Meatballs prepared by the Women and Men of St. Patrick Parish. Pick up at First United Methodist Church or Delivery to your office. Donation includes Hoagie, Chips, Bottled Water. All proceeds benefit C.A.M.P. WEDNESDAY PICKIN’: The Wednesday Pickin’ Country Music Jam Sessions are continuing to take place weekly at Armadillo Flats on Davis Avenue in Elkins. The jam sessions are co-sponsored by Augusta Heritage Center and C.J. Maggie’s. The Country Music Jams will now be from 3:30-6 p.m. Wednesday. Players, singers and listeners are welcome. The Old-Time Music Jams which were previously held at Armadillo Flats, following the Country Jams, will resume at a later date, time and location to be announced. BUCKWHEAT AND PANCAKE BREAKFAST: The Randolph County Lodge IOOF will host the last sourdough buckwheat of the season at the Lodge Hall on the Beverly Five-lane on Saturday, May 16, from 7 a.m. until noon. The menu will include sourdough buckwheat cakes, regular pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, milk, coffee and orange juice. Carry-outs will be available.

MEAT SHOOT: VFW Post 5781 will host a meat shoot on May 16 at 10 a.m. at the post home in Harman. Refreshments will be provided. The next shoot will be June 20. For information, contact Danie Ours at 304-227-4349.

BEVERLY SCHOOL ALUMNI BANQUET: The 92nd Beverly School Alumni Banquet will be Saturday, May 23, at the Steer Steakhouse in Elkins. Registration and social hour will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Dinner will be at 6 p.m. Everyone who attended Beverly School is invited to attend. OLD TIME MUSIC: Join in the first and third Mondays, 7-9 p.m. at The Arts Center in Elkins for an Old Time Music Session. Beginning musicians are encouraged to join in. Fiddle, mandolin, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, bass are welcome. Participants enter through the back door. Contact dp-foot@hotmail.com.

TOPS 0590 MILL CREEK: meets at the Russell Memorial Library in Mill Creek every Wednesday. Weigh-in is from 10:30-10:45 a.m. The meeting follows weigh-in. For information, call 304-338-6403.
