PHILIPPI — The membership of the Barbour County Chamber of Commerce elected new officers and board members during its recent Annual Banquet Meeting in the Blue & Gold Dining Room of Heiner Hall on the campus of Alderson Broaddus University.

The officers and members of the board include new President Dr. Tim Barry of Alderson Broaddus University, Vice President Jeff Woofter, Superintendent of Barbour County Schools, Secretary/Treasurer Brenda Hunt from Heart & Hand House, and Dr. Donald Smith, Executive Director.

The newly-elected class of 2021 includes Karen Bialek of Bialek Insurance; Mike Elza of Mountain Hospice; Dana Gould from Broaddus Hospital; Ed Larry of the Barbour County Historical Museum; Cheryl Wolfe of the Barbour County Economic Development Authority; Mike Talbott from Talbott’s Funeral Home; and Superintendent of Schools Jeff Woofter.

Directors from the Class of 2019 are Brenda Hunt, Heart & Hand House; Joe Kaiser of Kaiser’s Coffee & Candy; Terri Kittle of Freedom Bank; Terri Nida from Premier Bank; Dr. Donald Smith, Alderson-Broaddus College, retired; Reg Trefethen from the Barbour County Development Authority; and Amanda Wagner from Premier Bank.

The Class of 2020 Board of Directors include Dr. Tim Barry, Alderson Broaddus University; Mike Cvechko, Cvechko Insurance; Susie Cvechko, Barbour County Commission; Kevin Lyons, the Medallion and Fox’s Pizza Restaurants; Hunter Mullens, Mullens & Mullens Attorneys; Lilah Phillips, BC Bank; and Eric Ruf, Barbour County Health Association. Not pictured is Honorary Life-Member John Phillips, retired President of the First National Bank.
