HAMBLETON — Top-seed Tucker County secured its 22nd straight appearance in the state tournament with a 70-25 win over Pendleton County Wednesday night in a Class A, Region II co-final. In the other co-final, second-seed Pocahontas County (16-2) defeated visting No. 3 Tygarts Valley, 74-50, to also earn a spot in Charleston. HUNTINGTON — Elkins High School will be represented by three wrestlers in the Division II portion of the state tourney set to get underway today Marshall Health Network Arena. The three-day event begins at 6:30 p.m. with 224 matches and concludes Saturday evening for the championship matches. Tigers competing include junior Tucker Twigg, junior Chiron Wing and sophomore Isaac Workman. Twigg, competing in the 144-pound class, is 32-3 on the season and captured the regional title.
