Bulldog offense rolls in 27-8 win over Tucker

Harman drops 11-4 contest to Paw Paw

MILL CREEK  — Logan George homered and finished with five RBIs as Tygarts Valley rolled to a 27-8 win over Tucker County on Friday.

The Bulldogs (3-3) ended the contest with 15 hits and five different players collected multiple safeties.

The game ended after the top of of the fifth due to the 10-run mercy rule.

After seeing Tygarts Valley plate five runs in the home-half of the first inning, the Mountain Lions responded with four runs in the second to cut the lead to 5-4.

But the Bulldogs erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the frame and 14 more in the third to take control.

Tucker County tacked on four runs in the fourth inning.

Garrett Gibson also finished with five RBIs for Tygarts Valley, while Ethan Kirk and Jake Tackett tallied three each and Daniel White, Willie Walden and Matthew Pratt two apiece.

Walden and George each scored four runs.

Blake Anderson and Dylan Arman had two RBIs apiece for Tucker County.

Arman also collected a pair of hits.

Brandon Mahoney went all five innings to earn the win for the Bulldogs. He allowed eight runs on 11 hits, striking out three and walking four.

Five different pitchers took to the hill for the Mountain Lions. Starter Corrick Ambrose was tagged with the loss.

Both teams will be in action today as Tygarts Valley will host St. Marys for a noon doubleheader and Tucker County will visit North Marion for a noon twin bill.

Paw Paw 11, Harman 4

HARMAN – Harman dropped an 11-4 decision to Paw Paw on Friday.

Hunter Dudley scored a pair of runs for the Panthers, while Allen Bonner, Daron Harper, Dudley and Michael Lambert collected hits.

Harman (0-2) will return to action at 5 p.m. Tuesday at home against Union.
