Randolph BOE votes to close Harman, North schools
ELKINS - The Randolph County Board of Education voted Wednesday night to close the Harman K-12 school and North Elementary School. At the end of a three-hour-plus hearing, the BOE voted 4-1 to close Harman, and 5-0 to close North. BOE member Ed Daniels cast the sole vote against closing Harman. Many residents spoke during the hearing in favor of keeping the schools open. The BOE voted at 9 p.m., and the hearing ended immediately afterward.
